Peak Portfolio Management Limited was established in 2003 to offer financial planning and portfolio management to residents of New Zealand. It is a sole practitioner business run by Shelley Hanna.
Shelley Hanna AFA CFPCM
Shelley has a multi-national background, having lived and worked in South Africa, the United Kingdom and New Zealand. She holds a BA degree from the University of Cape Town and a Post Graduate Diploma in Education. She worked as a high school teacher for several years before emigrating to New Zealand.
Shelley is a member of Financial Advice NZ and Women in Super (NZ) Inc. She attends regular conferences and industry events to keep up with the changing legal and regulatory environment. She writes a weekly KiwiSaver column for the Hawkes Bay Today newspaper.
Shelley is active in the Hawkes Bay community. She has completed the Budget Adviser Introductory Course through the NZ Federation of Family Budgeting Services. She currently serves on the Management Committe of the Hastings Budget Advice office.
In 2005 she set up an exercise and support programme for breast cancer patients in Hawkes Bay. This has led to a new programme called Moving On. Also in 2005 she and her husband Bruce took part in a challenging 500km cycle across Vietnam and Cambodia, to raise money for Oxfam. She completed the New Plymouth marathon in 2010 and has been a competitive masters swimmer.
Working from home, Shelley meets with her clients in their homes or in her quiet office on the family orchard on Longlands Road in Hastings.
